the yonce project (i am determined to wear a crop top this summer)
Let me be the first to say that I always talk about working out. How I always need to jump on it. How this time it’s different because I am sticking to it. Hello, it’s not! And it never fells that at some point during the day, I think about working out when I get home. A workout that I never find time to do because I am too tired after working all day, cooking, and hanging with B and just want to go to sleep or read Whitney G.’s latest book. Oh, and did I forget to mention that I am the queen of buying workout DVDs? I try them a few times and then forget about them and/or lose interest. First there was Ballet Beautiful DVD. Then there was the Rockin Body DVD, and just recently, I bought this Barre Workout DVD, which met the same fate as the others. Oh, and lets not forget about the YouTube workout videos from Keaira LaShae. Did it once and just watched the others. For some reason, I think my superhero power is watching workouts and getting in shape as I watch them without sweat or any type of movement. Silly right? Yup. it is. Anywho,I try to find motivation for working out anyway I can. For instance, I wanted this black Pashli bag and thought maybe if I worked out B would finance it. He agreed to it, but did I work out? Of course not! And sometimes I’m motivated by my doll L who works out religiously. Just seeing her commitment makes me want to work out. And sometimes I’m inspired by King B (my new found love and the inspiration for this post). Sometimes I say, “Wow I really want to get in shape.” Sometimes I say, “I really want to tone.” But then there are times when I am just motivated because I want to wear something in particular like a crop top(one of the must try Spring 2014 trends), and that’s where we are at now. Yes, dolls and gents, I am motivated to work out 3 times a week for the next 126 days so that I can wear a crop top on the sandy beaches of Miami with my girls. Woo hoo! I figured if I told you about it, I would hold myself more accountable. Fingers crossed! I’ll let you know how it turns out in July before we go. Just so you know, I affectionately dubbed this goal of mine to wear a crop top as the Yonce Project. Why? Because I love that song, and she looks haute in that video. That swimsuit had me like Hey Mrs Carter……
So with that being said, here are some crop tops from Need Supply and SHOPBOP that I would love to rock in Miami….
