I’m not writing, I’m working in the legal field or playing with my four, yes,
grade school, I was your classic nerd. I
spent more time reading books “above my grade level” and getting lost in them,
than paying attention to the people around me.
I loved the journey each book would take me on, I still do. When I was thirteen I picked up a pencil and
wrote my first hundred page story. It was then I fell in love with
writing. That moment I realized that I
could not only lose myself in books, but in my own words.
several works in progress, but this is the first time I’ve ever decided to
share something. Thanks to some serious encouragement from some amazing authors
and friends, I’m taking the leap.

watch as he whispers something in her ear, but I can’t hear what it is. When he lets her go, she’s blushing. Liz never blushes! I’m going to be asking her
what that was about sometime later when we’re alone.

this is Izzy my best friend.” I hold my hand out and his easily engulfs mine.

just a friend keeping a friend company for the evening.”
to me, “And what will you do when that one friend is otherwise occupied for a
better portion of the evening.”
the other friend will find a way to occupy herself, she’s not a child nor does
she need to have a baby-sitter. She also
doesn’t care to talk about herself in the third person anymore. As long as my
friend is happy and safe, that is all that matters.” I stand up straight, pull
my hand from his and fold my arms across my chest.
