am so excited!!!!!!!!
Williams has done an amazing job telling the story of Jonathan and Claire’s
love affair. I am so happy that I got a chance to read this book in exchange
for giving my honest review. I’ve fallen
in love with her work ever since Take Two and this is no exception. So thank
you Whitney W. for this chance! Woo hoo!
if you don’t know me, I love a good romantic story. I love stories that draw
you in, and you feel so connected to the characters that when they cry, you cry.
When they laugh, you laugh. And when they have the sexiest experiences, you
find yourself breathing hard right along with them. Well……. Mid Life Love is
that and more. Williams has a way with
words, and I am a fan for life. I couldn’t put this book down. I literally sat
at the dinning room table and read for hours. I just had to know what was going
and is at a crossroads in her life. What do you do when you just found out that
the love of your life is a complete and utter dirt bag? What do you do when you
find out that he was sleeping with your best-friend in your own bed? What
happens when you find out that those two dirty scoundrels conceived? Well, you
get the hell out of town! And that’s exactly what Claire does. She packed up
her bags (kids too) and headed for sunnier days on the West Coast.
be working at Statham Industries and hates her job. She’s been celibate for too
long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She needs to give love a chance or at least get some!
Thanks to her ex-husband’s philandering ways, Claire is a little broken. She’s very insecure and has seen better days.
And thanks to her new boss, her days are getting a little better. Who am I
kidding? They get a lot better.
the sexy, billionaire, and CEO of her company who just happens to want her in
every way imaginable. Can Claire let go
and give in to everything Jonathan has to offer? Can she give love (or sex for
that matter) another chance?
this book. I absolutely loved it, and it’s
perfect for all you who want a little romance mixed with a lot of sex. Great
sex at that with a man who would buy your heart’s desire just to make you happy!
fought her attraction to Jonathan, but can you really blame her? If a sexy 29
year old wanted you, would you be insecure? What if someone played on your
insecurities, would you be strong enough to handle it and fight for love? You
would love to say yes, but you never know how you would respond. Because Claire
didn’t give in willingly and had to struggle with her feelings, she was both
annoying and believable. Claire’s reaction was very realistic. She had a few
stumbling blocks, but that’s what made her real to me. That’s what makes you
is all I am going to say. He does some of the most romantic things for her and is
borderline obsessive. He shuts down a bridge for her. He respects her need to
be in private. He understands her insecurities and works over time to help her
overcome them. He is patient with her and knows exactly what he wants as he
pursues and courts her. He is even fond of her twin daughters. It’s quite clear that it’s not just hot sex
for him. He wants to see her smile. He
wants to love her. True, he’s very rich, but he has a heart of gold especially when
it comes to Claire. I simply loved his character.
He is the American Dream. Started from nothing, but has amassed so much in his
life. I totally understood why he treated his mom that way, and it was amazing
to me that he could even love so hard and give so much to Claire given his past.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sex in the car! H-O-T! Getting her off in
front of another guy at the table! H-O-T! The ice cubes! Even
hotter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sex in the Zen
Room! D-A-M-N! Let’s just say they had great sex, and Williams captured it
quite splendidly. =)
started off slow to me, but soon picked up by Chapter 3. And maybe slow isn’t
the best way to describe it. At first, I couldn’t figure out how the chapters
worked; there was Chapter 1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5. It was not until Chapter 3 that I
understood, and that’s when the book took off for me. I couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going to happen to
them. I didn’t even cheat on this book, and that in itself says a lot. Typically,
I fast forward to the end to make sure I like the ending. For me the ending is
everything, and if I don’t like the ending, I will hate the book. Well, when I finally
got to the end, I loved it so I will rate this book a 4.5/5. It was not a
perfect 5 only because of my semi-confusion at the beginning.
