who what wear: golden globes 2015 red carpet recap
The Golden Globes was tonight. Congratulations to all of the winners. For the complete list of winners, click here. I actually watched the show this year, and per usual, the best thing about the awards was the Red Carpet. Prince presenting Common and John Legend with their award for Best Original Song was my favorite moment of the show, and I also loved Gina Rodriguez’s speech.
Anywho, my favorite doll of the night was Chrissy Teigen. She looked stunning in Zuhair Murad and was easily the Best Dressed Women of the night to me. To be honest with you, I was a little underwhelmed this year, but there were a few dolls who managed to catch my eye. Diane Kruger in Emilia Wickstead, Kate Hudson in Versace, Julianne Moore in Givenchy, Emily Blunt in Michael Kors, Emma Stone in Lanvin, Felicity Jones in Dior, and Jessica Chastain in Versace. BTW….can we just say that Rosamund Pike looked great in Vera Wang? She just had a baby 5 weeks ago.
These ladies wore red and wore it well. Allison Williams in Armani Prive, Viola Davis in Donna Karan Atelier, and Taylor Schilling in Ralph Lauren.
Shimmering dolls. Reese Witherspoon in Calvin Klein, Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad, and Kate Beckinsale in Elie Saab.
Greer Grammer in Lorena Sarbu and Anna Kendrick in Monique Lhuillier were so dainty on the red carpet.
Unfortunately, Kerry Washington in Mary Katrantziy disappointed me this year. It was no surprise to me that I didn’t like Lena Dunham’s Zac Posen dress. I need her to find a new stylist. Jennifer Aniston in Saint Laurent was not a winner for me nor was I fan of Keira Knightley in Chanel.
Between you and me, I was on the fence with Claire Danes in Valentino and Amy Adams in Versace.
Sienna Miller in Miu Miul, Dakota Johnson in Chanel, and Lupita Nyong’o in Giambattista Valli just didn’t nail it from head to toe. In the case of Miller, I loved her hair but was on the fence with her dress. Johnson, I loved her dress but not her hair with it. Same goes to Nyong’o.
Best looking couple goes to Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger. Runner ups: Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen (see pic above), Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts, and Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum. And lets not forget George Clooney and Amal Clooney in Dior. Those gloves were everything. P.S. I need McConaughey to groom himself.
