My Review:
So unbeknownst to me, this book
was a spinoff from The Duet. Oops! Never knew that Cammie and Grayson were
introduced to the world before this book. No worries, you didn’t have to read The Duet
to fall in love/like with these two. This was a standalone book that provided
enough of their backstory for you to get why they acted the way they did around
each other. And trust me, you’ll be
rooting for them from the very beginning even when Grayson was being an
asshole.
friends? Yup, me too, and so did Cammie! Cammie crushed on her sister’s best friend for
a while but never thought Grayson liked her back. However, sparks flew when she
landed a job at his architecture firm, and neither one was prepared for what
happened next. The sexual tension between those two was quite evident, and it
was clear they had feelings for each other especially at her sister’s
engagement party.
girl. She had the need to stress her dependence and make it on her own. So much so that it was the driving force
behind her actions and desires to move to Paris. She sometimes came off as
immature, which was not cute. And instead of facing a situation, she preferred
to run. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted her to stay and fight.

romantic gesture and was disappointed when he didn’t.

My outfit was still wrinkle-free. My pad-folio was filled with extra copies of
my resume and reference letters, and I’d rehearsed every possible question that
Grayson Cole would ask:

persistent.
inability to overcome my schoolgirl crush on you even though you’re a
self-righteous ass.

reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer.
I’m a comedy geek and love all things “funny”. Women like Tina Fey,
Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my
writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
