Tonight was the 73rd Golden Globes, and this was the first time I got to watch the Red Carpet with P. With a coke and a smile (and breastmilk for her), we watched and followed the Red Carpet via E! Online, Instagram, and Twitter. How fun! I can’t wait to watch it with her when she really knows what’s going on, and we can ooh and ahh over the haute looks on the red carpet.
Anywho, on to the Red Carpet Fashion Recap….It was such a trendy night, and for the most part, the ladies wore them well. My top 5 favorites for the night were Jennifer Lopez in Giambattista Valli, Zendaya in Marchesa, Cate Blanchett in Givenchy, Saoirse Ronan in Yves Saint Laurent, and Kirsten Dunst in Valentino. Haute! Haute! Haute! But not every doll got it right to me. Kate Hudson in Michael Kors was a miss, and I was not a fan of Regina King’s Krikor Jabotian gown or Eva Longoria’s George Shobeika dress. And let’s not forget Amanda Peet and Rooney Mara’s Alexander McQueen ruffled gowns, McQueen was not the best pick for either of these ladies! P.S. I would have never paired the Bulgari jewelry with Olivia Wilde’s Michael Kors gown; it took away from the beauty of it.
The top trends of the night were: sequins, embellishments, jewel tones, pink, red, white, capes, cutouts, pockets, plunging necklines, and ruffles. My favorite moment of the night was seeing all of the glamours ladies in all white. Haute! Haute! And I could have passed on the cutout trend.
P.S.S. You can find more pictures from the evening on E! Online.
