I can’t believe that I sat through this entire show this year. It’s probably because I wanted to see how funny man Chris Rock would address the infamous #oscarsowhite topic. Let’s just say, he didn’t shy away from it all including an awkward moment when a clueless Stacey Dash made an interesting appearance.
Anywho, Oscar Red Carpet is my favorite because everyone brings their A++ game. My 7 favorites of the night were: Jennifer Lawrence in Dior, Charlize Theron in Dior, Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell, Kerry Washington in Versace, Cate Blanchett in Armani, Olivia Wilde in Valentino, and Margot Robbie in Tom Ford. I tried to narrow it down to 7, but I also liked Olivia Munn in Stella McCartney, Rooney Mara in Givenchy, Saoirse Ronan in Calvin Klein, Daisy Ridley in Chanel, and Jennifer Garner in Atelier Versace. Both Chrissy Teigen inMarchesa and Emily Blunt in Prada were both breathtakingly beautiful with their bumps. Sofia Vergara in Marchesa, Julianne Moore in Chanel Haute Couture, and Reese Witherspoon in Oscar de la Renta were simply okay. They wore safe, predictable gowns. Nothing that took my breath away. I’m on the fence on whether or not, I liked, loved, or am just okay with these ladies: Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton, Brie Larson in Gucci, Naomi Watts in Armani Prive, Rachel McAdams in August Getty Atelier, and Kate Winslet in Ralph Lauren. I definitely am not on the fence with these ladies because I definitely did not like these looks: Heidi Klum in Marchesa, Isla Fisher in Marchesa, and Amy Poehler in Andrew GN.
