P.S. If you didn’t know, I’m almost 38, which made me realize that I need to work on my beauty regime. Get my skincare together. Pamper it if you will.
I’ve been searching and searching for beauty products, asking everyone I know what they used, and eventually came up with a list of maybe 5 beauty products I wanted to try. Then as luck might have it, I was invited to review this Peter Thomas Roth Vital-E Microbiome Age Defense Cream. Can you imagine how excited I was to try it out? Age Defense (check). Microbiomes (Check). Free of those nasty things we don’t want on our precious skin like sulfates, parabens, and formaldehyde (check). And things I didn’t even know I was looking for like Gamma E Antioxidant Technology and 3% Butterfly Ginger Root Extract.
I opened the cream and was pleasantly surprised. No overwhelming fragrance. Melted into a cream between my fingers and easily glided on my face. Not to be corny, but I instantly felt like my skin was both moisturized and protected. My skin felt great and was smooth, and I wore it with makeup with no issues. And if I must say, I felt like I was glowing. =) And who doesn’t want that?
I typically don’t get whiteheads, but during the first week of me using this, I received one. I haven’t had one since so I don’t know if this was the cause. Also, I have eczema around my mouth, and during week 2, this area was slightly irritated. Now, I don’t know if my skin was having a reaction to the product or if this was a result of me taking antibodies which throws my body off. I will, however, update this post after using this for 2 more weeks to let you know if this continues to occur.
FYI….I have normal skin and am slightly dry around my T-Zone. With this cream, my nose has been fully moisturized while my brow area has shown no change. But I will say, my drawn-on brows don’t look oily and shiny at the end of the day like they typically do. P.S.S. I’ll update this post to let you know about this too.
Although it’s a little pricey at $75, I can see this 50 mL (1.7 oz) jar going a long way. You don’t need that much to apply. Just a pinch for each area. I use roughly 5-6 pinches with each use that are applied to my cheeks, forehead, nose, chin, and neck.
Disclaimer: I received this product as a gift from Peter Thomas Roth. This review is my opinion and only my opinion.
